Hi SweetPepper, Marley here You have a freezer THAT big! Okay... We have a big commercial one to store alot of our bird food that Mom gets bulk. LOL Mom read the necropsy report that Ellen wrote through her group, and sent a copy to her vet. Her vet feels that where Mickey's insides were a time bomb, to use your words, had they been treating for fatty liver disease, which they were not, Mickey might still be alive now, 8might* being the operative word. It was only at the end that the ultrasound showed that what they thought to be fluids was in fact the enlarged liver, and that should have shown up in the MRI's that were done. I am just telling you what was told to me. Please do not quote this back. We do not want to upset Ellen more than she already is. I know she is not on BC. But yes, Mickey is the only bird who was diagnosed with Cushings while alive - that we are certain of, but that was being treated for. Sadly, Mickey had several ailments that were overlooked. It happens all too often. I know from the passing of my own Lee-Roial. I still have unanswered questions and doubts, but have studied things and know things because of what I now do and am involved in with the rescue. It is just too upsetting to get into . |
