Heya, Kiddo!
Ah, Mom loved the obsidian--the magnet, ya? He does such a wonderful job with all of the stones, and Mom is excited to just have them!! She will try doing the wire wrapping of the cabs, too--when she has time to actually sit down and do craft work.
The job has her down tonight--she had been doing the update on the SharePoint site for the team, and found out that whatever she did was not liked, or not the way the other SharePoint sites were (boring). She figures if they want to have boring, someone else can do the updates. If you give Mom something she can make useful, and look nice, she will do it. The big problem is that she knows how to do things that others don't, so she made some buttons that were all different colors for links to other documents or information. Guess that the pretty buttons are not appreciated and are being changed to boring links. She doesn't want to do the site any more. Boring is boring, and Mom can do web stuff. She was really enjoying making the site useful and being a little creative. So she figures she is done with it, as a apparently creative is not appreciated. Making links and buttons is not a bad thing, but she is sick of doing things and THEN being told that what she did doesn't conform. Tell her to be boring first, and then she can say she is not interested. She really hopes something opens up soon, cuz she is sick and tired of killing herself to do things and then have someone say it is not what they want. Only a month to go for her 10 years. Plus they say that they have an engagement survey--well, Mom is less and less engaged in her job, and is starting not to care about it. I tell her she can do anything she wants to do. And if that job is not it, well, stop trying. I think I might have convinced her.
Cold, cold, cold here. Tomorrow we are suppposed to have a HIGH of 8 degrees. Can you send that 75 this way??
Cya tomorrow...gotta do a little voting and then Mom and I are going to perch. The heater is on for me, cuz Mom says that I probably will miss her nice warm shoulder tonight.
