hi ranebeau
thanks for liking my icicles. they were inspired by chyna talking about the icicles on her house they were more than 8 feet long. the new kitty is something else. the vet kept telling mom you could tell the kitty was older because of her attitude and mom now understands why she said that. mom feels you are never to old to learn new behaviors so she is giving the kitty lots of time to adapt. she doesnt like to be told no so mom is trying different forms of distraction. for instance shde finally ran downstairs roday and was quite mesmerized by boo boo who immediately started up a racket warning the house the new kitty was near. mom just put on the vacuum cleaner which took her mind completely off of boo boo and she ran back into the bedroom. she conti nually growls and hisses at our older cat who has done a pretty good job of. ignoring her. she decided to smack our older cat and he retaliated by smacking her 10xs very quickly back.(luckily they are both declawed). she doesnt like him jumping on the bed while she is on it and growls and hisses. mom has started playing with a clothesline cord with her and she soon forgets about being upset and will actually play for a short time with our older cat swatting and attacking the clothesline. our older cat while seeming to ignore her manages to keep sitting closer and closer to her. she is still keeping her distance from our small yorkie and growls and hisses at her. this only excites the yorkie more. mom also feels that her health is improving and that is why she is spending less and less time in the litter box. dad says you cant really determine if she has permanently damaged any organs by her almost starving to death but she has a more relaxed body posture and will now attempt to make eye contact. mom feels that she must have been at an animal shelter and they must have taken her to a pet store for adoption because they run these specials where you can adopt for like $15 and mom feels since most people wouldnt bother putting up with her behavior she was just dumped on the street because it wasnt that much loss of money for them. i think it costs about $40 or $50 to take an animal to a shelter. anyway she can be quite affectionate and sweet at times so past experiences have caused her bad personalitiy. mom forgot she was in the bedroom and placed me on the bed the other day and i immediately saw her and went into attack mode and charged at her and she was smart enough to jump off the bed but before mom could get around the bed to get me i had started climbing down the bedspread to get to the floor and mom saw her crouched on the floor waiting for me so she said she will never do that again since i could give her a nasty bite she also could injure me and mom doesnt think my biting is cute. dad says i havent looked as good as i do for quite some time. my beak is growing out very nicely and i no longer am scissor biting so i am wearing the bottom beak down properly and i can now close my mouth. also my upp
