Hi Annie! Oh, my poor sweet Annie! How is your wing doing? I have brought you a nice soft blanket to cover you and a nice pillow to sit upon. And I'm here to give your wing a nice massage! Poor angel! I sure hope you'll be feeling better soon. We can sit here by the fireplace and warm our feathers. That sounds so cold at your place. Maybe you should fly down here and recuperate on the beach. We had a very bad storm last Wed. nite. My poor parronts had to drive an hour to the airport to pick up a neighbor and they could barely seen the road with the rain falling horizontally. Then we lost electric for 23 hours! And after it came back on, the internet just would not operate properly until yesterday. Well, it also has only been around 71 here and today it got to 74F but at nite it's in the 60s. We did go outside yesterday as the sun finally came out but today it was all gloomy again. We were outside but mom is predicting another rain storm and cold front tonite. My skin aunt arrived last Thurs. nite and it's sad there is no sun and it's a little chilly here. Other friends visited for the weekend so dad made big breakfasts yesterday and today. I ate some nice buttered pancakes with syrup. Yummy! Both days, in fact! hehehe! The owl is a great horned owl. The police brought him to us after he was hit by a car, we think. My parronts took him to our vet who is a wildlife vet. She xrayed him and said his wing was broken in 6 places. So she had to amputate his wing. He is now recuperating very well and will go to a place where he can be cared for since he can't go back to the wild. It was cool for my parronts to see and touch a wild, magnificent creature. They thought it was really neat although he smelled bad. We never got close to him or even saw him since he'd want to eat us! lol! Well, come over here, dear and let's share our soup. Are we having chocolate fondue for dessert? I would love that! And here are some nice apple slices and mango slices to dip in the fondue. Now, let me massage your poor wing. Does that feel better? You feel so soft. And yes, I think maybe that fondue may be sticky enough that our beaks might get stuck together! Let's see what happens..... I love you, Annie Love, Scion |
