Hi Sawyer
An adventure with Indiana Jones sounds like fun, heehee. Today mom took care of the animals on the squirrel porch again. She wore her one winter coat there, though, so cleaned in a sweatshirt so as not to get the coat dirty. She nearly froze, her legs may never be warm again. Then she did the avian nursery where there are recovering birds of all kinds. The 2 screech owls look better, but we suspect one might be staying. The pigeons are all doing pretty well, the cedar waxwings sound heavenly and are fine, and the purple finch is quick and getting quicker! The turtles are doing great, as well. Yes, there are turtles in the avian nursery for the winter. The only ones mom had problems with are the ever escaping mourning doves. They see an open cage door and they are through it in a shot! Mom caught one of them easily enough, but the second one was more of a challenge. Hope you are warm enough, it's seriously cold here (single digits with below zero wind chills). See you tomorrow!
