Hi, Peepers,
Glad that your dad was able to get the shoveling done for your mom before he took his long needed night's sleep.
Hmmm, sounds like the vet tech hasn't dealt with a lot of parrots? Many are trained to poop in certain areas or on command like Dixie. Mom never actively tried to train us, but the family can usually tell when we're about to 'go' and hold us over the trash can or the linoleum floor (easy clean up) as opposed to the cloth couch. Pearl will usually lean over the edge, but Silver will just go when he feels the need, so many of dad's shirts, pants, etc have been affected as dad isn't always watchful of our cues.
Hopefully the test results are back and that there's good advice from the consulting vet in Australia about Dixie. We'll have our wings crossed for him.
Are you gonna play baseball? Coach Kacey of the 'tiel terrors is trying to get enough players signed up. She said she's asking the previous players first, but that any 'tiel interested is welcome to join. We told her if she doesn't get enough players that we'd be willing to help out.
