`Ü´ *Knowing the lateness of the hour,
and not wanting to disturb Alex either in her at home time with her flockily or on the off chance that she has already gone to perch for the night, Ruby slides out the keyboard from her phone and begins to type a text message:

"Miss Alex,

Thank you for allowing me to take the day off to make my scheduled appearance for The First Graders of Mrs Holmes' Class at Maple Grove Elementary Class here in Warrensburg. A good time was had by all, and the program went quite successfully.

I just wanted to reassure you that I am aware that it is my weekend to work on Saturday at The Flower Shop, and you may rest easy knowing that I shall be there to take care of any orders that come in.

Thank you once again, and have a lovely weekend.

`Ü´ Ruby"

Then Ruby hits [Send] and tucks her cell phone back in her bag.*
