Hey Pearl and Silver
I think we have the same spare the air day warnings that you do being part of the greater San Francisco Bay Area. It doesn't affect us when it comes to fireplaces because when mom and dad built this house 13 years ago, they decided not to have one because skinbro's asthma was so bad and it was affected by the fires. He had been hospitalized twice and almost died the second time so they didn't want to risk it. She does understand how it would be troublesome for people who would like to have fires in their fireplaces and is sorry when they can't due to the spare the air days.
We also had a furball who would pee when nervous or excited, but she really never outgrew it, just didn't do it as often. Mom and dad love Jenna even though she can be a pee pain so they practice patience and hope for the best.
We watched mom and dad clean the deck and patio pavers because the turkeys had made quite the mess of them. Then they moved the feeders and refilled them. We will see if those big birds can get to them now. They can be quite clever even though people think they're dumb. Mom says they're just wild turkeys and they have done very well re-populating. She thinks they're beautiful, but we don't know what she sees in them. Gosh, we're way better looking than those butterballs!
Warm wing hugs and a vote,
Mackenzie and Athena
