Hi Popeye
I just came from reading about your sweet fister Angel Sunny! It almost sounds like the same situation with my fister Angel Gabbie! The people who had Gabbie had a big dog and at the time a six year old and Gabbie was two years old and they didn't want Gabbie anymore and wanted to get rid of her so they came to my Mom and wanted my Mom to take her but at the time there were six of us already,so my Mom said that she help to find a good home for her,but they insisted that my Mom have her and no one else,so my Mom had to talk with my Dad to see if we could have just one more fid and when he saw Gabbie he said yes! She was already two years old and shared the same hatchday as some of us and was purchased from the same breeder! She was the sweetest thing ever and was so traumatized by her family upping and dumping her that it took my Mom several months to get her trust! Whenever she was scared she would look for my Mom and want to hide inside her shirt! She was the smartest little thing ever and was part of our performance group! Reading about your sweet Sunny brought tears to my Mom's eyes, how true it is what your Dad said about how a fid chooses you and it's meant to be! My Mom took in and rescued a Nanday that looks just like you, named Brenna, she was abused in a pet shop, had no feathers eggcept on her head and tail feathers and she was kept in a back room in a filthy small cage with just wild bird food, filthy water and a perch too small and she was covered in self inflicted sores! I'm so sorry for rambling on like this,Brenna is another story in itself! My Mom was constantly rescuing and giving abused fids our loving home and everyone knew it and kept dropping off all their unwanted fids here for my Mom to take care of and keep! If you're interested I'll tell you about them later! But it really does hurt for years later when you lose a fid and that's why my Mom is learning all she can about all she can do to help us!
Wishing you a great day and I'm sending you all my love along with warm birdie hugs and soft beakie kisses,Love,Dixie! I truly treasure you as my friend!
