Good evening, Sir Poirot of the WildWood
And no, I don't know where that came from. Guess I'm in a bit of a silly mood. Giddy with happiness over your improving state is more like it. It's sweeter than sweet to hear that your face is looking better with each passing day.

You are so right about the weather here being CA-RAZZEEE this season. Tomorrow's high is now set to be 62° but then by Thursday the low is 2°. Talk about a teeter-totter of a winter. Did I tell you that my uncle was out with his dog a couple weeks back and realized that what he was seeing on the ground with his flashlight were hundreds of earthworms! Earthworms in the middle of winter — it's never been seen before. There's obviously no frost in the ground at this point.

I'd forgotten that I was going to tell you the story of the succulents. I barely remember the details now but I can tell you that many of them bare the scars of my nipping off most of their tender tops. Here mom's worked so hard to move them all indoors, arrange them so they get the light they prefer, and baby them so they'll survive until spring and what do I do? Land in the middle of them and then proceed to prune the living daylights out of them. Poor mom was just crushed at my destructiveness. The Christmas cactus was reduced to about half its original size, and the others, I don't know their names off wing, but I can tell you they're much shorter than they were when they came in my room back in the fall. Needless to say, I wasn't invited to the burial services. I got to watch the mournful cleanup from behind bars. Some of the broken pieces were saved and stuck in pots and I'm so hoping that they'll grow. That way I could say that the succulent garden is twice its original size thanks to my pruning skills. *weak smile*

If I might be so daring as to ask to kiss that wickedly handsome face of yours?

Good night my dear and precious friend. And yes, how I wish you could come sit beside me in my impending loneliness. What I really need is wings that will carry me all the way to you...
