Hi Dandy
Mom put them in this time, and even added shells from the eggs she put into the pumpkin bread. They taste good. The doves are eating this birdie bread, too, and they can use the calcium from the shells, since they each lay an egg a month. Mom usually makes cornbread and adds fruits and veggies to it for birdie bread, but this mix had seeds in it too, so mom will add that next time she makes it. It's very warm today, mom worked at the center in a t shirt and jeans. It's raining, too, but that's okay. At least it's not snow. The one squirrel with metabolic bone disease is doing much better now, she is more active and not on calcium supplements daily. The office quails were easy to clean today, as they were off on a job, visiting a classroom. Mom cleaned and put new food and water in there for them when they return. The avian nursery doesn't have any new patients, so it was the same cages mom did on Monday. Hope you are having a good day. Hugs, Willie |
