Hi, Mackenzie,
Glad to hear that plan E is working so far. What exactly did plan E entail?

Okay, we can tell you a lil bit about the falconry days. Dad was always interested and one day he in traffic saw a license plate that said 'Falconer' or something close to that. Since they got stopped at a red light he called over and gave his name and phone number and the guy promised to call when it was trapping season, which is in Fall. So, the guy did call and that got dad started. Fortunately, the guy lived in the same city as the parronts, only a couple miles away. Mom recalls the guy had one bird, a lanner falcon, which is native to South Africa. Dad got the info he needed to study up on the sport and the guy agreed to sponsor him and took dad out to catch a first year red tail. Dad had to build the trap and get all the supplies needed before hand though, such as the glove, jesses, hoods, etc and oh, yeah, build the mews. This was when they were renting a place but got the okay from the landlords to have a bird since it would be outside anyway. More next time.

Sorry that your mom injured her toe. That must really hurt. One never really thinks how much each toe does help one balance and walk until one is hurt. Since a toe cannot be in a cast how is it immobilized in order to heal? Taped?

Have a great day, wing hugs and a vote, Pearl and Silver.
