Hi, Peepers,
Not sure when the Spare the Air started. In the past some mass transit would be free on such days for commuters. Mom can't remember the particulars (she doesn't commute far), but there was a provision in the state budget that paid for it for a few years. The hope was that some people would just continue to use the mass transit not just on Spare the Air days.
The flea market the parronts attend at the Jr. College parking lot is better since the parking lot got the solar panels installed. That means more shade. Many vendors erect a shade anyway, but it really makes if more pleasant during the summer. Of course, the thing to do is go when the place opens and it's still cool. Mom can't remember if it's 6am or 7am?
Are any of you fids bonded with dad more than mom? Maybe the new baby will. Sounds like the new one is gonna fit in quite well. Hopefully Kallie will calm down and the baby won't bother you either.
Hmmm, never thought that Peepers is particularly more girlie than boyish. Seems more like an either/or name to us. Kallie and Dixie, however, are definitely girlie. The parronts always thought that girl birds are bigger than boys. At least with the hawks/falcons that's true. Can't wait to know what name your dad comes up with once the gender is known.
