Hi, Mackenzie,
You went missing for 3 days?? You poor girl. How did they find you? We know it's tough for the wild birds to find food. We see them eating our leftovers and they also sample furball's outside food and water dish.

The parronts contemplated getting a gate to keep furball out of certain areas, but haven't done it yet. Good to keep Jenna away from temptation since even if she weren't jealous her instinct, being a bird dog, could just take over and not worth taking any chances.

We also got a lil rain, but then the sun came out even though it stayed cool.

Let's see, after they got the bird's wings immobilized with the nylon they attached the jesses one on each 'ankle'. Dad made those himself with lil strips of leather. The jesses had holes that the leash attached thru to secure the bird to the glove. When dad got home he set up in the dining room with the lights turned down and as quiet as possible to keep the bird calm. Mom's not sure, but assume the nylon was just cut off. He sat at the table with the bird on his gloved fist and took the hood off. Naturally the bird would try to fly and just be hanging upside down being attached with the jesses and leash. He would just right the bird on his fist. It went on all night. Eventually the bird would just sit and in the morning dad put the bird inside the mews. He would weigh it each day and train a lil each day even if just to let the bird sit on the glove.

Have a great day, wing hugs, beak kisses and a vote, Pearl and Silver.
