When R & R have had their fill of the yummy tomato cake, the one that's a family tradition back home for Riley, the two decide to take what remains up on deck and share it around with their fellow pirating comrades. "Let's take a piece by Sugar's cabin. Surely she can have cake while she's recovering." On their way they meet QuarterMaster Tooth who's looking a little ruffled, most likely due to unexplained explosions. "Cake, Sir? It's the bomb, believe me." RaneBeau says with as innocent a smile as he can muster. "I'd love t'share some of my hatchday cake with ya. It's safe. See? Hulk and Raffi, they've eaten some. So has Gizmo I think and look, the ship's still on course! At least I hope it is. I'm the helmsmate who's supposed t'be at the wheel but I was told t'take the day off seein' as its my hatchday n'all. At least I think somebirdie told me t'take it off. Could've been meself. Nah, just kiddin' Sir." RaneBeau and Riley share cake all around until the last piece is taken and there's nothing but an empty plate on his wingtip. Setting that down on a crate, RaneBeau takes Riley's wingtip in his own and just holds it. "Thanks for everything. The decorations, the lights, the cake, the "candle". It's been, well, great! I'll never forget this hatchday, that's for sure." |
