The Chronicles of The Pirate Pearl
Day 7--After a good stretch I head to the galley, sniffing as I go. I tell Mr. Scion and Miss Marigold how delicious everything is. And how nice Miss Marigold is to have made the cupcakes. They do go fast. Then heading topside I see the sails are nearly finished and some don't even look like they were damaged. What wonderful work our sailmakers have done. I also hear Quartermaster Tooth is still grumbling about the "candle" incident. That was a good one fer sure.
I notice Spot and Puffin with heads together and holding something. I try to get closer to hear what they're up to but hear my name called. Our good Captain Ceasaur called me over to thank ME for doing my job. Well, I'm pleased to be doing it well enough. After he turns from me he talks to Doc BB and I hear we sail for St. Lucia next. There are many birds that will be happy about that. Nothing like home to heal a birds' soul that's for sure.
We all are sad to see Mr. Sky leave because we have truly appreciated his classes on wild parrot talk. I know I learned a lot and Kiwi is really very good. And most the Greys', Amazons and Macaws have picked it up well. So comforting to the wild birds here to be able to talk to ones in their own language and learn some of our talk too.
Scuttlebutt has it that First Mate Sam is 'helping' our lady bird who laid eggs in his cabin. It's a good eggsperience for him. But in true honesty it is very kind of him to help out a bird in need.
And as usual as I read tomorrows menu my beak can hardly wait to bite into all that wonderful food.
Everybird seems to be turning in early tonight. We're on our way and we all need our rest for the journey.
