... that was pretty much a firecracker on top of my hatchday cake. The story goes that Miss Riley had this family-recipe tomato cake baked for my hatchday and being that we're on a ship where every imaginable supply is not always at wing, something had to be used in place of candles. Thank goodness only one stick of dynamite was put on instead of the seventeen that were called for. Not sure I could've whipped that many out into the water before the whole thing went KaBOOM. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten t'even make a wish much less live t'see it come true. (°<

The newest books at the library sound like really good ones. Who knew there were so many books about birds! (Obviously not me.)
