Hi Sweetpepper
We hope all goes well with grandpa today. We're keeping him in our prayers. Mom was in the menagerie this morning, doing the education animals. Some of them have been put on strict diets, because the director doesn't think round qualifies as a shape for a wild animal. Twitch, the gray squirrel, is so chubby, it's a wonder he can climb! The best part of the morning came when mom left, though. They asked her if there were goldfinches here at home, and she told them she fills the thistle feeder every couple of days, so they gave her a goldfinch to release. That's the best part of volunteering there, the chance to see an animal go home where it belongs. The bird flew right up into the hemlocks when mom opened the box.
