Okay, Let's Try Again!
And no, the power's not been out all this time, it's just taken me this long to get back here. The house stayed dark for nearly four hours yesterday morning. Fortunately the sun was bright so room service proceeded despite the lack of power. My room was just getting to the too chilly point and the generator was about to be cranked up but just as was assured, the lights came to life at 8:45 and life was back to normal. Or as normal as you can get for a zoo.

In the note that was not to be found again I talked about how it was odd to think of you going without veggies for a week, how I too have been eating quinoa (but not mustard greens), and how your luxurious bath was enjoyed there very close to the time I decided one was called for for this little Grey. I had water running everywhere in Alfie's cage. Yes, Alfie's. Why dusty-up MY water when his is so convenient?!! Actually my little dish is too inconvenient to bath in so Al's is the better option. Besides, he's in my original cage, the place where I learned to bathe in a water bowl. Saber threw about four cups of water everywhere himself that same morning. I wonder if there was something in the air that had us all splishing and splashing.

I also mentioned that I hoped those new feathers you're sprouting are able to stay with you for many months to come. When you mentioned that flight feathers had been snipped I went back and studied those flight photos you shared with me but couldn't see any telltale signs of beak work. You hide your handiwork well.

I hope today's been another good one for you and that Pepper and Pringle are having marvelous times as well.

Love to all~
Kelly

and a K*>x<*P for you!
