Hey Pearl and Silver
Mom says she doesn't really recall the weather that day. She had asked skinsis and bro to wait in the little minivan and she ran back into the house for something. When she came back out she saw the kids staring at her through the van windows with their mouths open and she was watching the front end of her minvan hop up and down on the driveway. Then kids in the furthest court (parronts don't live there anymore) were yelling "earthquake". It stopped shortly after and mom took the kids to Target. Lots of stuff was on the ground, carts were on their sides, etc., but didn't seem to be too big of a deal. Later, when mom was home, her mom called her on their business phone, which mom thought was weird but her mom said it was the only phone that worked. Even then mom didn't watch much TV so hadn't had it on to see all the horrible things that had occurred in the city. But her mom, in Texas, had and was frantic with worry and the phones were out. But, we trust what you say and again are glad to know the meaning of that phrase "earthquake weather".
We sure all appreciate the enchiladas. Mom makes Mexican food from memory cuz her paternal Nana was Mexican and passed the recipes, (only there aren't any, you learn from watching) to her daughter-in-law (her mom) who passed them on to her. Skinbro asked for her chile colorado recipe the other day which made her laugh cuz she just does it. Anyway, anytime you want to bring enchiladas, we gratefully accept with huge appreciation for your thoughtfulness and kindness!!!
So your mom works for the giraffe! That's cool. Can imagine how busy it must get around Christmas and Easter. Mom always gets lost in that store so she shops online from them, but she loves giraffes and has several around the house.
Yup, cold again today, but very pretty!
