Hi Blue,
how sweet of you to say that about me and my mom...Mom and I are happy to give you our thoughts and if it helps at all then so much the better.
You have to be patient with your mom as it takes them quite a while to learn macaw. Sorry to hear that you are having some issues with your preen gland. What does your mom have to do for you to help you with your preen gland?
My mom is the same way, she loves all of us no matter what...she has had some nasty bites over the years...Chloe one of our CAG's was originally for mom as a mom's day gift but she decided that she liked dad best and she has never really liked mom and she is still the only one in the house that doesn't. She will try to get mom at every opportunity. The strange thing is that she will let mom trim her nails...they go into the bedroom and sit on the bed and mom takes each toe and trims her towel needed...Chloe says good girl after every trim...go figure that one, dad says it is like Chloe is going to the manicurist for a girls day out...hehe

We are definitely all individuals for sure...

That is awesome that you are eating better now, so am I. When I first came I ate everything in sight as I thought I wasn't going to get any more. I did that for a few weeks until I was a rolly polly macaw...I ended up weighing more than my big frother Simon. I finally came to the conclusion that I would get more food...I was afraid cause in my previous home I was feed a bowl of seeds and it was not filled up very often since it always looked like it was was full all right, full of shells.

Nuts are very expensive if you have to buy them online and with the amount we eat that gets pretty expensive...

I also would like to keep our friendship blooming...

Wing hugs, Chica
