Hi Chica!
Your mom and our flock are a national treasure! that is the wonderful part of BC that we ware family and everybirdy has some type of knowledge or expertise and is always, so willing to help anybirdy who asks. We laugh, pray, encoruage each other, what a fine family we are! The quest for the nuts in the shells continues. as I said, mom will check out the wholesale clubs locally and of course the farmer's market (who to my great annoyance has been out of walnut) But mom will take your advice and freeze them just as she does with our surplus food. It appears my preen gland is occluded--it is like a chick pea and that is why I can't get the oil out to preen my feathers. Mom has been massaging it nightly and attempting to use warm compresses on it. We are hoping between this and the improvement in diet, all things will workout. I'm trying to tell Josh to be patient--God Bless him he is the picture of good health and he came to us from a mostly seed diet. Tell Taz thank you for doing our pics--take his time, we are patient. Miranda just loved that portrait of her and SamIam. They are a cute couple Speaking of which, mom always wanted a CAG. when Miranda's owner saw Mom and Elvis making a profession call on the local vet, she thought Miranda would have a better home with us. Miranda (and the first pair of nandays) are the only parrots mom paid for--Miranda's owner felt people appreciate "something more when they pay for it" -well mom did give her $500, but Miranda became daddy's girl and really doesn't care for mom. However, lately, she is allowing scritching and the nighty night kiss and tuck in,so maybe Lady Einstein has figure out mom isn't all bad. can't say she is as easy going as Chloe is about birdicures, but she has become way better. She used to bark like a Rotwieler, now she is way more trusting. Well, you have a most wonderful day, my sweet Chica! Love and winghugs, Blue
