I recognized that face in the mirror immediately. Yours ain't that beautiful. ! I can't even say that with a serious expression 'cause actually it's not true. You're one good lookin' Too man and it's not hard t'see why Miss Christine feel for ya. Sadly, I understand, a little bit anyway, what you might be feelin' since like you said, I've been through this. But you, Man, you actually met Christy. You breathed in the same air she did, you brushed the feathers on her head, you touched your beak to hers. I never got t'do any of that with my Rosalie. I never even got t'hear her over the phone. And yet it hurt so bad when she died and there are still days I miss her so much it actually hurts right here. *R touches a flight feather to his chest...* Just today Rose's mom wrote to my mom saying thanks for something I left on Rose's page and then she said that it seemed we miss Rosalie nearly as much as her Mama does... I know I would've eventually got to meet Rose in the feather. Sure wish I could've. So glad you and Christy actually did. As for the ache in your heart, it'll never go away, but it does hurt less. I didn't say it would stop completely, it'll just get softer, less jagged. But it's a hurt all the same. There are days I love the hurt because it's all I've got left of Rosalie. I can only imagine what you're feeling Romeo, because your love for Christy is real. You lit up when you heard her over the phone. You're still hoping she'll suddenly be there when Uncle Chuck's voice booms across the line. I'm so sorry that it's not. So sorry, Romeo.
Okay, now that I've got us both in a sorry state, it's time t'think of something on the brighter side. SNOW. That's a bright subject although if you've hoping for some t'fall just so your mom could be excited, maybe that topic's a bummer too. I just heard dad say more is expected on Tuesday. We'll see I guess. I could care less. I'm stuck inside no matter what it does outside.
