On my walkabout of America, I met many beautiful birds! In my profile picture you see the Northern Flicker, who is the State Bird of Alabama! He's very friendly and showed me the best places to eat. He also warned me about the abundance of snakes, alligators, foxes, etc. who might think I look delicious! He was a very gracious host.
In my gallery, you will see the Eastern Bluebird. This is the only bluebird indigenous to Alabama. All three of the varieties of bluebirds visit Alabama, but only this variety stays year round! I found out that there are over 450 varieties of birds in Alabama. They are very loquacious and speak with a southern drawl. Many of them sing beautifully! Birds of prey are also plentiful there, but I did'nt hang out with them! They are beautiful but scary!Hehee!!!
The weather down here is beautiful this time of year! I was assured however that the summers are eggstremely hot unless you move into a building with air conditioning! (Like Home Depot!)
I miss you all, and especially my sweet Puffin!
Luv, Spot♥
