Hi Peatree
PRETTY FEET! once you have the moths in your house they will lay eggs un any kind of food. all food must be thrown out if it isnt completely sealed and all pantry shelves must be scrubbed down with soap and water. any new bird seed coming into the house must be frozen for 24 hours to kill any live eggs that might be in the seed mixture. the bugs dont hurt the birds but you dont want the moths flying around. they will lay eggs in opened container of cereal, flour, bisquick, sugar ,oatmeal, pasta, rice pet food. i think you get the ;point as long as opened packages of food are around they will lay eggs in it. all new food must be places in sealed containers. i know you can get id of them without poison because we have it just takes a little work and some time. love BooBoo
