Hi, Baby!
In case you missed the blog at the Calendar Page, please go read it NOW! Don't finish reading this until you've read it!

Did you finish? OK!

So we got this figured out. Zip is the blue one, Charlie's the English budgie, and Wilb's the other one. That leaves us nothing to scream at Mom about, so we're gonna tell you about Dominco Scarlatti!

(Sorry we only have ten today!)

1) Born in 1685, the same year as Bach and Handel (who we're doing next!)

2) He was the sixth of ten children and it is generally assume that he was taught harpsichord by his father.

3) He was hired as a composer and organist in Naples in 1701.

4) Most of his music seems to be inspired by Iberian (Spanish and Portuguese) music.

5) He is most famous as the composer of 555 sonatas.

6) He was in a contest with George Frederick Handel and was considered superior in harpsichord but inferior with organ.

7) He taught the Princess Maria Magdelina Barbara starting in 1719

8) Scarlatti married Maria Caterina Gentili 1728

9) He is considered almost more famous than his father and mentor, Alassandro Scarlatti.

10) He died in 1757.

SURPRISE birthday party for my MOM! SHHHHH! It'll be the day after her thirteenth birthday, March 7th at 8:30 PM Central, 9:30 Eastern, 7:30 Mountain, and 6:30 Pacific time! Be there or you'll be sorry! It'll be held at our page, 213890. We'll be playing all Mom's fav music, but most of it doesn't have lyrics (And was written about the guys we're going to talk about soon :P), so we'll be giving links to listen to it on YouTube. Thank you!
