Hello Simon
Are you serious? You're featured in the "Polly Wants a Poem" book? That is so neat! You and Taz and Sweetpepper too? How, if I might ask, did you manage to get your picture included? Do you know the author? Or did someone just happen to recognize a good looking macaw when they say you and knew you had to be included in a book about parrots? !!

The perch on the kitchen stand is yet intact but only by just a little. The last couple times I've been on it I didn't chew anything off, maybe because I don't want to end up on the floor. But I think I'm bored now without that option of entertainment. I tried to chew on RaneBeau's tail but he didn't like that idea. Spoil Sport.

Please tell me your mom's back has remained improved since Thursday when she thought it felt a wee bit better. I hope the knocking on wood helped. You poor mom, not even able to do a little vacuuming without something hurting. That's just not fair. She strikes me as the type of gal who wants to be a part of keeping the home looking lovely, tidy and I bet it really bothers her when she has to sit and just watch your dad doing the work. Bless his heart for being so understanding of the situation. You've got good parronts there, Simon.

You were commenting about my mom and all she manages to get in a day (sometimes). Sweetie, for starters, my mom can run around on two feet without a concern for bumping into something, falling over or forgetting not to step on the painful foot. That makes a big difference right there. I hear mom grumble about how there are not enough hours in some days. But then too there are apparently days that have TOO many hours so I guess this just means she's sort of picky. Right now we're pretty close to an equal number of daylight hours as to nighttime hours. I'm kissed good night about 6, 6:30 pm and greeted about twelve hours later. The time change is going to mess up that perfect balance! Have they no concern for us parrots??? *grumble grumble*

Today I watched mom pack away Valentine stuff (finally) then haul in the March boxes. They're sitting in the kitchen yet. I told mom I just HAD to write you a note before bedtime. I've missed chatting with you! Brother ran the vacuum here in the front room awhile ago so I stuck my head in my water bowl. I was informed that now I would really need a shower because I'd soaked some pellets in that water so it's doubtful my head feathers are very clean. Oh well, I tried.

With spring just weeks away I hope those shades for the sun porch come in soon. If it's that warm out there in the winter time, shades are a definite must before summer.

The sun is setting so I'm going to leave you with good night kisses. *Reba leans in and shares a tender kiss with Simon, one that goes from a brief kiss to a long and lingering one.*

Sweet dreams, Love.

REBA
