Must be kinda engrained in a dog to give the alerts and protect the family. Even the most docile dogs will usually bark and make a lil fuss when they hear stuff that's not normal. It's a good thing for Jenna to be protective.

Good that you have the vultures and other predators that eat the dead animals. Owls do eat mice so that's a good possibility that dead mouse was dropped, but sounds like some critter got it.

Yeah, supposedly cockroaches will rule the world one day if nuclear war wipes out humans/animals. Not sure about rats though. Think all of us will be gone so we wouldn't have to worry about it.

Unfortunately mom has to work all w/e! Usually she has Sat off, but she's only working until noon, so won't be too bad. The family will be celebrating gpa's bd Sun night. Mom should get him a card...
