Hi Dixie!
Oh, you and your flock and momma are sooo dear to us. Mom was in the Manual of Avian Practice research pinkish nares in b/g macaws about our frother Blue. SHe did a saline irrigation and tried the hot compresses on his preen gland (massaging it doesn't seem to reduce it's size) but he didn't like that treatment at all. He really melded with dad yesterday, talking a whole bunch when dad gave him some grapes and sat on a chair next to dad. Dad was a little nervous with him that close but both dudes did really well. Mom thinks it's time Dr Linda had a once ove with the boy. Mom is still trying to correct all his nutritional issues. Blue is eating so much better and pooping as well. Aunt Jeanne said his feathers are looking better already. Then mom did some internet searching discovering that macaws have allergy issues with greys, tiels and toos...oh, oh. WE do run the air purifier daily, so that is good and Josh the green wing has no issues. Today, I understand that Doo and Cu Bird are going to have thier pics taken with the Easter Bunny as a fund raiser. Momsaid I couldn't go because I was too naked--no pun intended. The antifungal will most like be itraconazole mom thinks (or possibly ketoconazole) so keep her posted. Off to get the guys ready for their photo op. Love and winghugs, Cookie
