Hi Gus's finally time for Mom's absolute favorite composer ever!!!

1) Born in 1862.
2) He was born in St. Germain-en-Laye, west of Paris, France.
3)When he was eleven, he was accepted in the the Conservatiore in France.
4) Mom's absolute favorite song by him is either Arabesque or Serenade of the Doll. She can't decide which.
5) He had two wives. He divorced the first for the second, who divorced her husband for him.
6) All his life he had a strange bump on his forehead.
7) He entered the Prix de Rome in 1884 and won with his L'Enfant Prodigue.
8) Even though he won it, he absolutely hated everything about it. This didn't prevent him from composing, though...
9) ..In fact, the music he listened to while there greatly influenced his later writings.
10) This absolutely fantastic composer died in 1918 while the Germans were bombarding Paris.

We greatly covet your votes, Monsieur!
