Hi Taz
I am sorry to report that Mom's car is so seriously ill that she will be at the car doctor's until next Wednesday! It is a 2001 Audi TT named Gloria. She needs a new turbocharger, which I guess is what gives her all the get up and go. With oil leaking in there she is sending out blue smoke. Mom says it is even worse than when Cassie the Cat passes gas, but that is hard to believe. The smog people said it is OK for the extra days, and they will still retest for free. Whew!
Mom's trip to the Ortho doc in the rental car was very uncomfortable yesterday, because she had no A/C. She stopped by their place after, and it turns out she needed to push this one little button to make it work. All that sweating for nothing. She drove on the freeway with the windows down, so she figures she looked like a wild woman at the doctor's. Good news is her shoulder doesn't need surgery, and he gave her exercises and a strap for her elbow tendonitis. So that was a big plus.
I got a really nice sunbath this afternoon, and then Mom and I shared a Chinese style lean cuisine for lunch. It had noodles, but guess what!!! I ate brocolli and a couple of soy beans! Mom was so pleased she gave me a big kiss!
Yep, I think the contest went very smoothly this time other than a few hiccups. This is the way to do it. I think we should start announcing the winners at 5:30, and do you think we should go from 3rd place to 1st place or the other way around. Definitely save the overall winner for the final announcement. I think if we put 5 minutes between categories, that will give birdies a good chance to congratulate the winners and discuss the awards. What do you think?
