Hi Athena!
I had such a marvelous time with the most gorgeous girl last night at the Milonga, Josh blushes as red as his feathers! I don't know how Taz and Kiddo does it every month, each event even more extraordinary! Yes, we have hillbilly rednecks in NJ, also. Some are in the mountain areas (Ramapo Mountain People) and in the Pine Barrens (Piney's). Mom, born and raised in the suburbs, just likes being out in nature, barefoot and no makeup. You have to dress up to go into town and to work, bit that's that! One more rescue story...the parronts put up bluebird nest houses. This is bizarre because we live in the forest but do have a large backyard (bluebirds normally inhabit agricultural, open fields) Anyway, a black bear ripped down one of the nest boxes. Mom looked inside and there was 6 nestlings, barely down covered. She brought them inside and put them under a lamp while she made phone calls to rescue orgs. Dad said it was "nature's way" and to let them go. Mom argued that we placed the nest boxes in our yard, so that makes us responsible. The parronts drove 90 minutes to the rescue facility where mom used to volunteer--The Raptor Trust. Len Soucy does the birds of prey while his wife Diane does the perching birdies. All 6 of the nestlings survived and were fledged. Just about time to clean out those nest boxes and get them ready again for this years tenants! LOve and winghugs, Josh
