Hi, Blue and Jewel,
Apples are one of the only fruits we like. Our dad won't be using the apple peeler. He leaves most of the cooking/baking to mom. Always offers to help but mom thinks he's more of a hindrance so she rarely allows it. Mom's gonna make the pie or crisp today since it's her day off.

One of dad's coffee shop friends found a giant wooden chess set somewhere. It was missing two pieces. He asked dad if dad could make the two pieces in the woodshop. So dad agreed to try since he had some stray pieces of wood he could turn on the lathe. He didn't measure it, just eyeballed it and it turned out just a tad bigger than the original, but better than missing a piece. He'll try to make the second piece soon. Think it was a rook piece. Say, that's a kind of a bird isn't it?

Have a wonderful day, wing hugs and a vote, Pearl and Silver.
