Hi ChiChi
The aloe gel you can get at most any drug store or even Walmart or CVS! It's a gel and my Mom mixes it in water and sprays it on us and it's soothing to the skin, its for burns and itchiness etc and works really well! My Mom has used those other things on us too and it does only make you pull out your feathers more! My Mom also has Feather In and it's a powder you mix with water and soak to the skin with several times a day! That has soothing effects in it and it also makes the feathers grow back in! It's a bit pricey but if your sweet Mom wants to try it my Mom will send her some she can try on Gus! It was a great day here in the 50's and the sunshine was nice until the afternoon when the clouds rolled in and the rain came down!My Mom was out all day helping Nana make Crispell's and they didn't get done til after 7 tonight so by the time mom came home it was nearly 8 and she still had my frothers and fisters to clean and feed and groceries to put away and the kitchen to clean up!My Mom can't wait to do the spring cleaning also but your Mom is right about waiting til the weather gets warmer! My Mom does the same thing with our bean mix,she makes a lot of it up and packages it in week long containers and freezes it so it stays fresh longer!
Wishing you a great day and I'm sending you all my love along with warm birdie hugs and soft beakie kisses and a vote for my sweet peach faced friend! Love,Dixie
