Hi Blue,
that is wonderful news that the doc was able to drain your preen gland and that she complimented you on your feathers and personality. I could have told her that...Will your preen gland get better so that it won't have to be drained etc? I would have bitten her I think...Simon would have been happy that she was a female doc as he doesn't like men much.

Whipped yams? does that mean your mom mashed them and then whipped them in a food processor or something? Does she put anything in the yams? Inquiring birdies want to know...lol

I am so excited...you are going to play some baseball this year...yeah! Just wish we were going to be on the same team but you will be on the same team as my big frother, Simon...

Mom is hoping the psych doctor get his paperwork done and sent to the L&I in a timely fashion but she thinks he will as he has been doing a good job of getting it in so far. Mom was at her regular L&I doctor today and he was going to write his letter today and he was going to make sure to put in it that mom needs to continue the same medications she is on and that if they need to be changed for whatever reason in the future that should also be allowed as things can change with her tolerance to the meds or maybe a new and better drug has been found. He wants to do whatever he can to make sure that L&I gives mom what she deserves for what she has been through and is continuing to deal with. Mom could not have asked for a better or more supportive doctor. Dad invited him and his wife over to meet all of us. They had a B&G macaw named Odie who lived with them for just over 20 years but he passed away just a few months ago while they were in Brazil. They found out that he died of a rupture in his heart so there was nothing that could have been done. He died so quickly, he was his wife's bird mainly so she is quite devastated still and that is understandable.

The parronts were going to look for plants after the doctor's visit but it was raining so they didn't. They will as soon as the sun shines again which might be a while according to the weatherman.

Wing hugs and love, Chica ♥
