That's a nice looking team you have there. Mom thinks it's sad cause Bailey isn't there anymore.
I'm so sorry to hear about your parronts getting so very ill. What did they all eat? Was it the food or the way it was cooked? I hope everyone gets well soon, take care.
We woke up today with more snow and several inches of ice on top. It looks like January all over again. We just need the sun to come and warm us up. Where is that ball of fire?????
In addition to sugar, water, fresh mint, and crushed ice, Kentucky along with most of the south preferred bourbon whiskey in their juleps. Mint juleps are generally made this way today and are ideally served with straws and garnished with mint. The mint julep has been the traditional beverage of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby for nearly a century and each year almost 120,000 mint juleps are served during this two-day extravaganza. This is a feat that requires over 10,000 bottles of julep cocktail mix, 1000 pounds of newly-harvested mint, and 60,000 pounds of crushed ice.
See you at the Milonga on Saturday.
