Are You Sure Your Team Isn't The Mighty Good....
....Lookin's? What a wonderful team! And looky at THAT! The Macaws were so nice they had to have'um TWICE! TWO TEAMS!! Like US Greys! You know, ya'lls (sorry Miss B., I'm a very southern bird) feather colors have a way to flash here & flash there, that it gets a bird like me, rather mesmerized! We'll really have to be on our talons against such formidable opponents! It will be a tough job that we face!

As about my take on BOTM, at first I was very sad for the child that ran for April but in reality, didn't make an attempt. I let the fact that it was a child make me feel we owed them something. I was making the excuse, "But they are young, we should give them a bit of lee-way." Well, that's not what school does....especially pubic schools. I know the USA has fallen terribly below par with the rest of the world in that matter but most days, kids still have homework and some of it is really TOUGH. If they don't do it at ALL or give the least amount of effort to it, their grade isn't an A!!! Allowing this child to have a position of honor for doing the least amount of work teaches them NOTHING!! If they want something, there is work behind it! I remembered when they first signed up for BOTM & asked me would I vote. I answered that I would but I also expected them to run a "normal" campaign & remind this old woman who mans these keys for me, to surf on over there & vote for them! We hadn't seen ANYTHING (see? Mom FORGETS the Calendar Page!! Shheeessh!!) and we just thought that maybe it was an opened month! When we found out that Zippy didn't get BOTM, Mom & I were like, "WHAT? We didn't even KNOW they were 'running'!!" When we got to surfin' around, we saw that they DIDN'T run nor did they campaign and that made us angry. Not like, kickin' the door angry, but "miffed" at the arrogance behind such apathy! If we aren't worth blogging to, why would we go vote for them?? Especially those of us who worked extra hard to get birds interested to come see what was happening that day! And MAYBE vote.

I thank you for agreeing. I know being in the Kissing Booth is a hard thing to be in & entertaining enough for birds to be attracted. That's why when I first started coming, I would purposefully do something completely different other than the usual kiss & hug. It wasn't so much for the bird getting the XO's but for your good Poppa to have something different to read. I have arrived there by Mrs. Al B. Tross Airlines, squeaky pedal car, rowboat, horse, and just shuffling in kicking a can. That was before the "blog count" change. I know it must be tough to get birds to go in there, & then just perch like a bump on a log. Nothing is going to happen anywhere if you don't invite, make it fun, and numerous other things to promote doing it. It is the way it is.

I'll get off the soap-box & let your ears rest. See ya later Miss B.B. Give Mr. Sky my regards! Hugs, SamIAm
