I'm not sure which bird to respond to. Mom has been involved with birds for decades. She dated a guy who had society finches and one died, so the other one made his owner, his mate. Mom fell in love with the interaction so she went to the pet store and bought cordon blue finches. They mated and had wee ones. Mom felt left out and researched birds that want to interact with humans. Her first parrot was a cockateil and from there, it was kismet! Mom has had Jalapeno (soon to be 29) his whole life, Cielito Lindo (going on 4) and me, whom she rescued from a party house(drug den). She saved my life and is rescuing other unwanted birds and placing them in their forever homes. Other birds she's had have died a natural death after they have lived their years in Oasis. We love her and we know that we are her first concern.
