Hi Cookie!
I'm glad you like my uniform pic! I can't wait to see yours! I bet you'll look really cute!
Well, I'm so sorry I didn't make the milonga last weekend! Mom had food poisoning all week and it was her first good day. There was a birthday party in the afternoon and then a little get together in the evening. My parronts weren't going to stay at the get together but it turned out to be a family of locals singing and playing guitar and it was very nice so they ended up staying out late and I missed the milonga!
Then we had a wild week becos my parronts got a cat cage to trap a feral cat in our yard on Tues. nite. The cat actuallly got trapped - I was betting it'd be a possum or other critter, but they did get the cat. So Wed. morning they headed off to the wildlife vet, an hour away. Dad forgot to latch my food bowl door and after awhile, I discovered it was open so I threw my food to the floor and escaped! When mom and dad came home, I was sitting on top of Squeaky's cage, terrorizing her and Scion! I didn't do any damage to furniture or anything so they were pleased with me. Until later when they realized that I'd bitten off the entire top beak of little Lima, one of our lovebirds! Another trip to the vet! The vet couldn't reattach it but she had antibiotics and antiseptic for Lima. So then when my parronts got home, dad had left the screen door unlatched and it was wide open and Limon was flying around and fortunately he didn't go out the door and neither did our rabbit! And mom was happy becos nothing came in the door either! It was a very bad day.
My parronts are trying to tube feed Lima but that isn't going so well. The day after the accident, Lima started eating on her own - yogurt and baby food. She is doing a terrific job eating with just her tongue and lower beak - so adaptable! We are just hoping it is enough. Her mate Limon is so attentive and cares for her. We are hoping he will start to feed her too.
Later in the week we had our first B&B guests and that was fun for all of us! They liked seeing us and took my picture!
So it's been really crazy around here! Now things are getting back to normal and I should be flying around more often!
Here is a big beaky kiss for you!
Hugs, Picabo
