Hi TiPaul #4666
I was so eggcited about you giving me the 10K vote, I forgot to tell you what a beautiful B-ball pic you have.
And, please thank your dad rob for the 9999 vote.
We had such a beautiful warm spring day on Monday. Today was cold, rain and now we are covered again in snow. It looks like winter all over again.
DAY 23
The grueling schedule of the three races in 5 weeks at longer distances than most have run previously, is the most difficult task a horse will face in his racing career. There have been 11 Triple Crown winners. Thirty horses have won the first two legs of the triple Crown, but 19 of them failed to win Belmont. Sir Barton was the first winner in 1919. The other winners are Gallant Fox (1930), Omaha (1935), War Admiral (1937). Whirlaway (1941), Count Fleet (1943), Assault (1946), Citation (1948), Secretariat (1973), Seattle Slew (1977), and Affirmed (1978). Sadly, the last triple crown winner, Seattle Slew passed away on May 7, 2002.
Hugs
Chyna
