Coach Reba of the MAJOR LEAGUE BEAKS
... arrives at Kevlar Memorial Stadium ready for batting practice for the team. Behind her she's dragging a bat bag and over a shoulder she's got a number of batting helmets in a sports bag. All this she deposits outside the batting cages in the training area of the stadium. Then she punches in the team's passcode for the pitching machine.

Donning a batting hat then selecting a ball beater of her preference, she steps into the batting cage, hoists the bat, gives it a couple of practice swings, then hits the START button.

CRACK! -the ball smacks back.
PoP! - the ball hits the ceiling wire
WHAM! - the ball zings back at the pitching machine.

The feel's coming to her after a winter's worth of off time.

SMaSH!
