OF COURSE You're Practicing Pitching & Batting!!
Being a reserve doesn't mean you're NOT good! It means you have a well rounded talent....GOOD at EVERYTHING!! Yes, I have you practicing batting! Here, I'll copy/paste what I said the first practice. You must not have seen or maybe didn't understand what I was saying,

"Pepper, Saber, and TiPaul you birds cranked it out in the batting cages! Kudos for all three of you! Three donuts on the bats for all of you! It must be your lucky number, "3"!! You did greyt & I know we'll be seeing covers flying off those baseballs when any one of you takes bat! Power house hitters! "

When I say 3 donuts on the bats.....I should have stated it clearer. All 3 of you place 3(!!!) of those ankle/wrist weights on the bat. They're round, soft, pliable weights that weigh about a pound each. It's a way to make the bat heavier and when you practice like that....come to playing a regular game, you're going to smash the cover off of the ball because your upper body is so strong. Strengthening your wings like that will make your throws that much harder & faster! Those outfielders have great power because they may have to throw that ball to home plate! That takes intense strength to throw that far, that fast, with "juice" in it!

Since I met Napoleon 2 yrs ago, I told him to start practicing pitching by learning precision throwing. He got a tire and began like that. I'll let you, practice here at practice time but you can either come to this page or have your good Momma set you up one at home also. You practice throwing until you have it going into that ring every time! If you want to get even better.... you erect a rectangle with say some old perches. It's to be the size of that invisible STRIKE ZONE. You get to throwing them there and then throwing them just a feather from either side, top & bottom, you'll be striking them out in no time!! Don't hurt your wing!!

So, the answer is YES, you train WITH the team. I have a lot of first timers & had to let them get the gist of the defense. You'll be finding yourself out there too! They rotate the reserves on & off per game. That's to make sure everybird plays! The Commisisioner and Umpires take care of that. That's what was taught to me by Coach Calico & Coach Kaji. It's fair and yes! You'll be playing!

It's sort of like a "pirate ship", TiPaul. The more various positions a birdson is able to master, the more valuable & dependable they become. You'll be able to handle it, I promise! Sam tips his cap to TiPaul and shuffles off for the next page.===>>
