MAJOR LEAGUE BEAKS vs the Phoenix Base Fliers
1st inning
Tia was the first batter of the game and grounded out. Blue hit a single as Cori’s pop fly was caught by Pepper in left field. Mackenzie would walk but was left on the bases with Blue when Reba grounded out to short stop Angel.

Base Flier’s Chi Chi grounded out to 2nd basebirdie Mackenzie. Susan got the 1st hit for the Base Fliers, a single. Luigi would also ground out. Then the Base Fliers hit a string of singles, by Norman, Kiddo, Pepper and SweetPepper to score 2 runs for the team. Mango would ground out to end the inning.

In the 2nd
The ML Beaks would get on the scoreboard when Simon and Ruby hit singles and scored when Rio smacked a HR into center field. Jasper then hit a double and scored when Ziggy hit the 2nd dinger of the inning. Tia would then hit a pop fly for the 1st out. Blue came right back with the Beak’s 3rd HR of the inning. Cori and Mackenzie would strike out when Base Flier’s pitcher Chi Chi got hot with the fast ball.

Trailing 6-2, the Base Fliers staged a major comeback. The singles conga line included Sage, Angel, Chi Chi, Susan and DJ. Norman was struck out by Tia’s change up pitch. Kiddo netted the 2nd out for the Base Fliers who still had bases loaded. Pepper then hit a double followed by another string of singles by SweetPepper, Mango, Sage, Chi Chi, Susan, DJ and Norman. The Kiddo redeemed himself hitting a monstrous Grand Slam HR of Jasper’s head. When it was all over, the Base Fliers had scored 14 runs.

3rd Inning
The ML Beaks were not fazed. Reba and Simon opened the inning with singles and scored when Ruby hit a triple. Rio drew the walk as Jasper and Tia would fly out for 2 outs. Then Ziggy and Blue hit singles to load the bases. Cori then matched Kiddo’s Grand Slam to clear the bases. Mackenzie would try to continue the scoring but Reba was struck out.

The Base Fliers opened with walks by SweetPepper and Sage . Mango struck out and Chi Chi hit a pop fly for the 2nd out. DJ’s single would load the bases but Susan was struck out looking for the fast ball. At the end of 3, the score was 13-16 Base Fliers.
4th inning
It was 3 up 3 down for ML Beaks Simon, Ruby and Rio.

Married couple Kiddo and SweetPepper would hit singles. Pepper grounded out to short stop. Mango then hit a double to score Kiddo. Sage was fanned and Angel would fly out to Ziggy in short field to end the inning.
