Well, My Blog I Had Written Earlier Went The Way..
...of those no good squawkatiels. Mom was in such a hurry she didn't make a copy of it before she posted. We had a small hurricane hit here. I do believe it charged through your neck of the woods too, correct? Huge trees are down everywhere. Hundreds of thousands of people are without power. It looks like Hurricane Hugo all over again on the local news channels.

Let me tell you what has happened here!! Mom got dinner fixed very early. Watching the news like a hawk, she made sure the clean up was done. The horrible storm was now 1 mile away. It was turning so pitch black that I was saying "Night Night Time! TOAST! Want Toast!" Mom was busy starting to unplug all the computers, lamps, electronics, etc. Her mate was watching the storm on his lap top & the cell was bright red with purple in the middle. You could barely see it on the radar because of all the lightening bolts it was registering!! It was even closer than a mile when suddenly!!! POOOFFF!! It starts to break up & what was left of it went to the east of us!!! Hurray!! But Mom's mate said it wasn't over that another fast moving cell was coming from the northwest at an extremely FAST clip! He told her not to even bother plugging anything in until this was done. Again, it is bright red turning to purple. The lightening bolts just about hide the whole storm on radar. 3 miles, then 2 miles, the trees are bending WAAAYYY over now, 1 mile, Mom hears the thunder & can see the flashes of lightening. She pushes my cage away from the back windows to the center of the kitchen now....."POOOFFF!!!" The storm fizzles out and breaks about to the southwest & southeast of our neighborhood!!! TWO TIMES it did this in a row!!! We got just a slight bit of rain at our house. No trees down that we know of but will have to check tomorrow. I stand amazed at the power & of the good fortune how it fizzled out around us. There MUST be something in the ground around Mom's neighborhood!!! It was just so amazing to watch from the radar on the laptop to the skies above the trees and house. What a jaw dropper. Funny how when the line passed, it reformed into the threatening monster from before!!

Hope all are well at your home! We are fine but are truly amazed. Charlotte & all areas from here to there have been HAMMERED! Mom suppose to go to the doctor tomorrow for some lab work to be done. With so many trees & traffic lights down she's wondering how this drive is going to be. Interesting to say the least!

Hey, I challenged King Hulk to a go-cart race with water balloons at the Castle! I'm gonna write you into the story line. Hope that will be okay with you & Chloe! It will be exciting! Hugs to all, SamIAm
