Hello Sweetie
I bet Washington truly is a glorious state. I imagine it's so pretty there no matter where you go. While I don't know where I was hatchday at, for as long as I can remember, I've been an Illinois girl. Not too exciting of a place to say you're from, at least in my opinion. Right now I'm sick to death of Illinois bugs. These stupid little flies are really wrecking my aviary time. They sit on my face which makes me either shake my head or scratch with a nail. Mom mists me with this vanilla spray, something that's always worked with some other little pesky summer bug we have here, but it doesn't seem to be phasing these annoying little flies. They're a new pest this year and I detest them. Today's a little better because there's a bit of a breeze but I know I won't be eating lunch outside; they get worse when there's food around. Mom's getting her exercise running the five of us big birds out and in and then back out again later in the day. Yesterday's first visit lasted all of a couple of minutes; RaneBeau and I were about nuts with the head-shaking!

That's the neatest thing that Chloe's taken up being more adventurous. Perhaps it's something in the air because I too have started getting down on the floor every day and tromping around after Mom while she cleans the room each morning. I actually got pushed along with the broom this morning since I was standing in the path of the device and in no hurry to move! I was quite interested in all those "quills" coming out of the stick and thought they'd make an interesting thing to feel. I was discouraged from doing it though since the broom's not rumored to be all that clean.

Your group's a lot like ours concerning baseball; there's generally somebirdie's who's thrilled about the game's outcome and another one who's pretty bummed. This week I hope it's me that gets to be excited although there won't be a disappointed flockmate on Thursday — I don't have one on the WonderWings team, surprisingly enough.

Sharing a great big wonderful hug with you ((HUG)) and a kiss that I hope tells you how special you are to me — KISS!!

With love,
