Hi Chipper
Millie and Lily have been with us for about 6 years now, they are adopted from the wildlife center where mom volunteers. They came in emaciated and dehydrated, as most of them do in the summer. People release them for weddings and such, and not all of them find their way home. The center gets a few every summer, and looks for people to adopt them. Anyway, ringnecks are bigger than you are, and should not be kept in the same aviary as you, because they are aggressive to smaller birds. Mom had some, Fred and Ethel, who went to a senior citizens' home before she got Millie and Lily, and they are happy there as long as they have their own cage. Ringnecks eat mostly seed, but sometimes mom gives them a little leafy greens or even dried greens, and sometimes chops up seasonal fruit for them. If you decide to get them, you'll love the noises they make, mom thinks they have peaceful sounds. Let us know if you need more info. Here's a vote, but I vote for everyone I visit each day, as we all do. Hugs, Falco
