Tango! That Was An Awesome Outcome To The Green-
...cheek runaway! Just HAD to go fishin'!! Heeheehee! We're so tickled it was a good outcome and she(he?) got reunited with its owner! That is such a good feeling!

Our local rescue called "Companion Parrots Re-homed" or CPR, had a horrible incident happen last November! Two people come into the rescue, milled about the shop looking at all the "bigger" birds. They were cordially tended to by the volunteer worker and they stayed there for about an hour. After chumming up the clerk who had to start the night's chores of closing down the rescue, as soon as she stepped away for just a second, those two people both grabbed a cockatoo each and made for the door! One was an Moluccan Cockatoo named Jasmine and the other an Umbrella Cockatoo name Emmy. One bird, Jasmine, was soon found in the state but hundreds of miles away and had been sold to someone who sold her to someone else! Emmy was found in Atlanta, Ga. In April or May, can't remember, but she was bought by a loving family who followed her back to Charlotte, took the required courses that this rescue requires of all potential adopters, and she now lives/loves with this family. Miss Jasmine found her forever home this past May! So, miracles DO happen! But a lot of work went into finding these birds. Lots of people & lots of "man-hours" scouring flea markets, Craigslist, their fliers were put up everywhere! And then some!

In these days & times, it's so nice to watch a wonderful miracle take place! And they certainly do keep happening!

Hugs to all, SamIAm
