Hey Ranebeau
You are so welcome for the pie and I'm so happy you enjoyed. Have to admit, I enjoyed quite a bit of it too right along with Mackie, Remy and Shelby. Oh yeah, and mom and dad of course.
We do the same things when mom is somewhere we can't see her. Mackie in particular wants to know where she is. I'll check in once in a while only. Now when dad is around or when I hear the garage door go up, I'll call his name "Howard", you know, just in case he's forgotten it!
Mom still has her head buried in her computer doing all kinds of research for an upcoming trip. She says that's so she can get as much info as possible about retirement and everything that goes with that in the area they plan to visit.
We have been busy watching the wild turkeys and the deer with fawns come down to drink at the fountains and just hang out. Mom watched a turkey jumping up in the air to reach a wild bird feeder. It looked like it was performing ballet with its legs hanging down and kicking when it jumped. Very entertaining but it wasn't able to reach the feeder despite its best efforts. A couple days later, a beautiful 6 point buck was in the yard and by stretching his neck and sticking his nose up was able to reach the feeder so he tilted it and drained it leaving lots of seed on the ground for the wild turkeys to eat too. Guess all involved had dessert! Mom is going to post a picture to our galleries if you would like to see.
Hope all is well in your home!
Big winghugs,
Athena
