Hello Miss Pico!
How are you doing? Mom's daughter is here and she's so very happy seeing her! I keep whistling and talking to her and she's not so scared of me! That is an improvement. Ever since she had come home from college on night, very late, walked into the kitchen where I was sleeping & minding my own business,
she's been afraid of me! But not in the usual sense that most people are afraid of birds. Oh, she didn't turn on a light but was rooting around in the frigerator finding something to eat & drink. When she finished, she came over to the end of the island & was eating her snack. I could tell she was tired & was happy to be home. We had never met before. She was just so pretty, I wasn't even mad she had woke me up! When she took a big breath, I could sympathize with her and I said "ssshhoooo" you know, like humans do when they've just completed a big chore or other tiring thing that they do.

Well, THAT did it! She ran off & woke Mom up & brought her into the kitchen. She was whispering "something is IN here!!" Mom was watching her look around in the dark, when I piped up & said, "Night night time!" Mom then understood. She asked her, "Shanna, what did you hear?" She says, "Someone 'sighed' loudly in here!" That's when Mom told her I had just come that morning to her house to live! That was the first time we met. Shanna thought I was a GHOST BIRD!!! She stayed scared of me even though I ALWAYS give her the wolf whistle! I've never ever "sighed" like a human behind her head ever AGAIN!! She's too easily 'spooked'!

Hope your day brings you lots of love, Miss Pico! Hugs, SamIAm
