|Hi Pico--July 21st
Hi every birdie, Little Angel here with the REST OF THE STORY. I must apologize for missing a day of blogs. A Tornado passed by only 200 yards from our home knocking down trees, power lines and causing general havoc. We were very fortunate in that the huge branches from our tree didn't cause serious damages just a big mess to clean up. We are all well and fine.
Now back TO THE REST OF THE STORY.
"CAAAAAAWWWWW!!!' screamed the big black bird as he hopped onto the bed of grass and twigs. He took one look at the tiny creature, then turned to glare at me. HE tilted his head every which way getting a better look at us. Down below I could hear Dixie and the others calling my name but each time I tried to call out the BIG Black Bird CAAAWWWED at me so no birdie could hear my calls for help!
I sat very still as the big bird came closer. He wasn't too pleased with finding me in his nest, and to be truthful I wasn't too happy being there right then either. SLOWWWLYYY, I inched my way towards the edge of the nest trying not to be seen. Just as I was within reach of escape, the branch shuttered and there, staring at me was a second big Black Bird.
She hopped onto the nest and checked out the little baby nestled in the soft bed and all of a sudden she noticed me at the very outer edge of the nest and reaching out as quick as a flash and picked me up in her strong beak and leaped into the air.
"AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed as she flew high into the air above the trees and circled several times like a plane in an aerial show. Letting out a very loud CAWWWW! she dropped down towards the ground gliding effortlessly just above the grass. I closed my eyes as we headed between two pine trees and I felt the beak opening sending me somersaulting downwards. "EEEAAAAHHHHHHOHHHHH!" i screamed as the big black bird let out a loud CAWWW!
"SPLLLUUCCKKK!" I landed head first into the wet, ucky muck puddle. I laid there very still for a short while just in case the Black Big Bird was still there, before I slowly, carefully tried to sit up. Well, let me tell you muck is one yucky, sticky, goopy bunch of glue-like dirt. The harder I pushed and pulled to get myself out, the worse I got stuck, until I was coated in mud from beak to what is left of my tail feathers....
see you all tomorrow with the REST OF THIS STICKY SITUATION STORY.
with love, hugs and votes for you
